M25 improvement consultations

A NUMBER of public consultation exhibitions have been announced to discuss the M25 junction 28 improvements.

Highways England announced the preferred route for the M25 junction 28 improvement scheme in August 2017. This was Option 5F: a two-lane loop road, with widening of a short section of the M25, and reconfiguration of the A12.

The following public consultation exhibitions will take place:

The statutory consultation about the proposed scheme will run for eight weeks from 3 December 2018 to 28 January 2019. The following consultation materials will be published on www.highwaysengland.co.uk/m25j28, and available for inspection at three libraries from 3 December:

  • Consultation brochure and response form
  • Statement of Community Consultation
  • Preliminary Environmental Information Report & non-technical summary
  • Scheme/route map showing the full extent of the scheme on a red line boundary plan
  • Statutory notices in local and national press (Section 47 and Section 48 notice)
  • Scheme Assessment Report
  • Technical Appraisal Report
  • Public Consultation Report summarising findings from the previous consultation
  • Development Consent Order leaflet, explaining the process in more detail.
