I HAD an email reply from someone this week apologising for not getting back to me sooner about my invitation for him to take out an advert in our new small-ads section in the magazine. Had, he said, been manically busy for the past month but re my proposal for an advert costing £15 a month, he’d have to take a look at his budgets, as he wasn’t sure he could afford it right now.
If he was that manically busy but still couldn’t afford £15 a month, I was tempted to refer him to one of the many business coaches servicing Essex. But – wait a minute. He was a business coach!
The old saying, do what I say not what I do, sprang to mind!
